What is the IELTS Online/Computer-based Exam?

The IELTS computer-based exam is being phased out from 2025. You have to attend the four modules: listening, reading, and writing. Furthermore, the speaking test pattern is the same as the previous one; the speaking test is taken face-to-face.

On the test day, you receive a soft form of the module booklet on the computer screen and solve the answers side by side. You have to visit the exam centre to attend the computer-based test, although the criteria for marking are the same as the IELTS paper exam. The content, structure, and band descriptions of the IELTS modules have not changed dramatically.

What does One Skill Retake mean?

The computer-based online test provides the facility; if you are unable to get the desired band in a module, without repeating the whole test, you can retake just one skill to improve your desired band, without repeatedly the whole test.

What does Faster Results mean?

You receive your result within a week. It is the fastest way to provide your result, but if you attempt one retake, you could receive your result within 1-2 days.
